Koena mitra in Hollywood

Our space informed you long back about Koena Mitra signing the Hollywood action flick ‘Karna’. Now, the lady can’t stop raving about the action packed performances the flick has in store for her.
She says, “They treat me like a queen and they always ensure that I am comfortable. Once you know that a huge team is there to help you and you are not going to die, it is easier to perform action scenes. They always tell me, ‘Koena, you are not going to die, trust us.’ The harnesses are not hand-held like in India. Her they have ropes and 4-5 people pulling them. Over there it is all computerized. I am excited about the film not just because of my action scenes but also because the girl I play has different shades.

The story of small town Chandani Chowk girl, who sees her father being assassinated by one of his own henchman and years later takes her revenge. Believe Me, Tashan is total Carp with all style and no substance from YRF (They should have changed their production house WTF ! – after dud Ta Ra Rum Pum, Jhoom Barabaar Jhoom, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle )

Deepika Padukone in skinny dress with Upen Patel

Suddenly, all the entertainment world seems to be flooded by steamy pictures of Deepika Padukone with Upen Patel. These pictures, which are apparently some three years old had been taken as a part of some photoshoot.The question here is: Why are they all over the net now?
It could be some prank from a naughty mind. Some also blame Upen for it saying that since Deepika is a hot property now, he has deliberately released these pics as a part of cheap publicity and to revive the rumours of him and Deepika.
Says a source close to Deepika, “Why are these pictures coming out now? After three years? Right now Deepika is hot property; it can’t be a co-incidence that these pictures are suddenly popping up in everyone’s mailboxes.”
Upen has defended the allegations by being blissfully aware, “The pictures are something from the past. I don’t even remember them, if you know what I mean. I did some photo shoot with her for Wendell many years ago. Who ever is behind spreading these pictures has an agenda to spoil my image in the public eye but I am not at fault here.”
Whoever may be at fault, you guys treat your eyes with some hot pics of a hot chick with a hot model.

Hot Sherlyn seduces Shahid Kapoor
She is known for her bindass talk and no hold barred skin show but who knew that would fecth her a role in a Yash Raj Films. Yes you heard it right… Sherlyn Chopra has bagged a film from India’s most prized production house opposite Shahid Kapoor.
The film is a love triangle involving Rani Mukerji, Shahid Kapur and Sherlyn. Chopra will be seen at her seductive best and will have a lot of steamy scenes with Shahid.
The insiders claims that the ‘outrageous’ girl has been in the good books of Yash Chopra, who also launched her debut album.
He has been wanting to get in touch with her for some time but Sherlyn had her number changed so they finally got it from Vinod Pandey, who directed her in Red Swastika.
Sherlyn is apparantly happy but not shouting from rooftop, “For me, this is just the beginning. Yes, I am a part of Anurag’s film but I still need to work much harder to get to the place where I really want to be right at the top. I have it in me to be a kick-ass Bollywood babe and I will do it.”
On working with Shahid Kapur and Rani Mukerji, Sherlyn says, “I just want to do this role to the best of my abilities and want them to start wondering how I can act with so much of finesse and ease.
The director, Anurag Singh has told that he will be pitching me against them and that I have to be on par with their performances.”

Shiney Ahuja in Biking
The ‘Gangster’ and ‘Metro’ star Shiney Ahuja has come a long way now. The actor who stars opposite Esha Deol in ‘Hijack’ has done death defying stunts like hanging from the chopper in the flick. His romance with action will not stop here as he will flirt with bikes in his next film produced by Ashok Kheni from down South.
Reveals Shiney, “I am doing a film on the biking industry and since I am playing a biker, I will ride one.” Ride on, Shiney!


Zee Cine awards 2008 london
As always, Zee Cine Awards was held at London this Sunday - 27th April, amidst much glamour and glitter. What made news was the absence of Salman Khan’s performance. Though the reason for Salman’s backing out was officially cited as high fever and injury, the real reason was that Salman had a problem with his choreographer Ganesh Hegde.

So, the Moranis replaced Ganesh with a choreographer called Rajesh. When Salman saw Rajesh’s choreographed act on Friday afternoon, he was shocked and deeply upset at this second hand treatment. He returned the cheque and agreement the same night and then finally Zee had to perform with Shah Rukh, Upen Patel, Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena, and Jay Sean. Salman’s girlfriend Katrina who was already in London on Thursday performed solo.
