Bhumika chawla born in new delhi on 21st August 1978.Her real name is Rachna and affectionatel call her guddiya.
Chawla started off her film career in theTollywood - telegu- film industry, starring in the feature film Yuvakudu (2000) in Telegu actorSumanth. Her second release,khushi , in which she starred oppositePawan kalyan was a box office success. This was followed by several films in Telegu and three films in the Kollywood industry inTamil film industry
After a number of critically and commercially successful films, she starred in her first Bollywood film,Tere Naam (2003), alongside Salman Khan.(This film was a remake of superhit tamil movie Sethustarring vikram directed by Baala) The film was one of the year's highest grossing films and fared moderately well at the box office. Apart from it, it was a critical success and her performance in the film won her many positive notices as well as several nominations for Best Debut at different award ceremonies.
She married Bharat Thakur on October 21 2007
